When you meet someone who is hiccupping, offer to give that person one dollar for the next hiccup. My friend just cured my hiccups that way!

Maybe it will continue to work, if she keeps offering more and more money!
Wednesday, May 24, 2006

I have been awarded the Chateaubriand

Now it's almost $200! This is robbery people! Southwest should not forget that they are first and foremost a BARGAIN AIRLINE! And that by 'bargain' we mean 'cheap!'
Wednesday, May 03, 2006

every year I send flowers to my mom for Mother's day... I have always thought that this is a nice thing to do. The flowers are always pretty, and come with a nice vase, and they leave them right on her doorstep. But an interesting thought struck me this morning as I was perusing my option on the internet: my mom must have at least half-a-dozen of those generic flower vases in a cupboard somewhere!

I'm considering just sending boxed flowers this year, but then if she's not home when they arrive, they'll just sit there without water, possibly all day! That would be no good. So this year I'm considering alternative options for a Mother's Day gift. Any suggestions? It doesn't have to be something delivered, like fruit-of-the-month, I'm thinking I'll actually go to a store and pick her out something nice, and then mail it to her.

Tuesday, May 02, 2006

surprise! Americans are stupid.

Monday, May 01, 2006

Well, lots has happened in my absence from the good ol' U S of A. For instance:

1. Spammers have somehow managed to get my cell phone number, so now I keep getting voicemails from people claiming I owe them 15 dollars.

2. My mom, when not able to phone me internationally on my birthday, will send the entire story of my birth via email.

3. Stephen Colbert made fun of the president while standing right in front of him!

4. The cheapest gas in my neighborhood is now solidly over $3 a gallon (was near $2.50 when I left).

it's good to be home!

go shawty...

yes, Bacardi will be sipped like it's my birthday!

Friday, April 14, 2006

I am in Paris!
